Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dane County is a leading youth mentoring organization dedicated to building brighter futures through the power of meaningful, one-to-one relationships. Since 1966, we’ve connected local youth, ages 6-18, with caring adult mentors who provide guidance, support, and encouragement to help them reach their full potential.
Our mission is simple: to create and support impactful, professionally supported mentoring relationships that ignite the promise of youth. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed, no matter their circumstances, and we’re committed to breaking down barriers to achievement.
Through our mentorship programs, we match Littles with Bigs based on shared interests, goals, and values, creating lasting bonds that foster personal growth, resilience, and confidence. Whether it’s exploring new hobbies, discussing future aspirations, or simply enjoying quality time together, these relationships empower kids to see beyond their current limitations and envision a future filled with possibilities.
Our work goes beyond individual matches. By addressing critical social issues like education equity, mental health, and workforce readiness, we’re helping to build a stronger, more inclusive community where all youth can thrive.
Together, with our network of mentors, donors, and supporters, we’re changing lives—and the world—one Little at a time. Join us in shaping the future of Dane County. Visit us at www.bbbsmadison.org to learn more!
